Floor button: This is the most common type of elevator button, installed in the elevator car and outside the elevator Hall. The floor buttons in the car are used for passengers to select the floor to be reached. When the passenger presses the target floor button, the elevator control system will receive a signal to send the elevator car to the corresponding floor. The floor button outside the hall is mainly used for passengers to call the elevator. Press the up or down button, and the elevator control system will dispatch the elevator to the calling floor according to the current position and running direction of the elevator.

Open/close button: usually located on the operating panel in the elevator car. The door opening button is used during the closing process of the elevator door, and the passenger can manually prevent the door from closing or manually open the door after the elevator reaches the floor. The door closing button is used to manually trigger the closing action of the elevator door after all passengers enter the elevator. However, in modern elevators, the door closing button of many elevators needs to meet certain safety conditions (such as the light curtain is not blocked) to work.
