1. Flat surface (no texture)
Appearance: The surface is smooth as a mirror (mirror polished or matte finish), with no obvious irregularities or lines.
Craftsmanship:
Mirror finish: Through electroplating or polishing, it achieves a roughness of Ra 0.2μm, with strong reflective effect.
Matte finish: Utilizes sandblasting, brushed, or PVD coating processes, with a delicate and non-reflective surface.
Advantages:
Minimalist and beautiful, easy to clean (less fingerprint residue), suitable for high-end offices, hotels, and other scenes that value quality.
Braille buttons often use this base, with raised dots to distinguish functions (see "special texture" below).
Shortcomings: It can slip easily when used with wet hands, and prolonged pressing may leave scratches.
2. Straight stripes (drawn lines)
Pattern: The surface has parallel fine lines, mostly horizontal or vertical (commonly vertical, in line with finger pressing habits).
Craftsmanship:
Through a wire drawing machine, a sanding belt is used to rub the stainless steel surface back and forth, forming a depth of about 0.01-0.05mm.
Common types:
Fine brushed: texture spacing <0.1mm, smooth to the touch (like 304 stainless steel brushed plate).
Coarse brushed: The distance between the lines is 0.2-0.5mm, providing greater friction (like the emergency call button in an elevator).
Advantages:
The anti-slip properties are better than the glossy surface, and the fingerprint hiding effect is good (the texture can disperse oil residue).
Strong wear resistance, not easy to wear out or deform after long-term use, suitable for high-frequency use in public elevators.
